jason meath show Mar 24, 2021

How does Hollywood intersect with our Nation’s capital? What can political leaders learn from entertainment and media? Today on the show, Dustin & Sean are joined by Filmmaker, Author, and Republican Ad Man, Jason Meath joining us to talk about his various documentaries (The Surge, Bad Decisions: the Joe Biden Story, Switchers), his book "Hollywood on the Potomac," and what Political Leaders can learn from the film & entertainment fields.

SHOW NOTES:

  • Jason’s parents inspired him and told him to do what he really loved in life. He was a D.J. before getting into politics.
  • He filmed the documentary Rocky Mountain Heist about how Colorado turned blue by the Democrats' take-over.
  • He got started in politics by being asked to be on a tv show for the RNC.
  • He learned the power of messaging. The average person spends eight minutes on politics, so it is important to connect to each voter personally.
  • Be true to yourself and make sure you know why you are running. Do not get clouded by everything that is going to come at you. If you have any doubts about running, you probably should not enter the race.
